Apple Cultivars for Puget Sound (EB ) Bloom and harvest dates, scab and mildew ratings, general descriptions and photographs. Order online.. Growing Jonagold in Western Washington (EB) Establishing and maintaining a commercial ‘Jonagold’ orchard. This area has a few commercial growing fields and sources for bulbs, but no plant clubs in the immediate area. Lilies are very popular in the Midwest due to their winter hardiness. In West Sound, the major concern is planting in a spot with good drainage to avoid rotting of the bulb. Lilies are available in many heights, colors and period of bloom.
These lilies do best in open dry wooded areas or meadows that have rich organic soils that stay moist but never in areas that have standing water. They can be grown from seed or you can start new bulbs from the small rice sized bulblets that grow around the main bulb. You may copy it, give it away or re-use it under the terms of the Project Gutenberg License included with this eBook or online at Title: Scandinavians on the Pacific, Puget Sound Author: Thomas Ostenson Stine Release Date: Ma [EBook #] Language: English Character set encoding: ISO *** START OF THIS.
